Can you survive being a good cop?

I hear there are alot of bad cops..and a few good ones...they are known to take the drugs and sell them...when they catch ppl with em...how can you survive being a good cop when they see ur not taking drugs and selling them etc...they might think oh he's gonna rat us out and they'll kill u....I know nothing in the world is clean and cops arent any worse than other occupations....i mean theres bad doctors, nurses, lawyers...anything what I am saying is a occupation doesnt define what kind of person u r....I just think that cops are more prone to bec they have a badge....I want to bea cop(atleast reserve) bec. cops get respected by ppl and ppl dont look down on them...but at thesame time i dont want to be corrupt
