Is there a law against leaving children in a house with no heat?
My furnace broke two days ago (wednesday, 4th) and my propane co is refusing to come and fix it. I have myself, my husband, our 3 year old toddler and two week old baby in the house. We have all been sleeping in the living room with a space heater. I know they are very dangerous but I have no choice right now. I called up another propane company to see if they would fix my heater. They told me I would have to be a customer of theirs first and said they'd have a customer service representative call me back. That was yesterday and they still haven't called me. I'm just worried about my kids. Is there any New Jersey Law that prohibits children being left in the cold during winter?
